Support your immune system

Omega-3s support quite a few processes in your body. Every day, all year round. Not only do your heart, brain and eyes need omega-3 to function optimally, your immune system does too. Even though we feel healthier in the summer, we remain susceptible. Vulnerable to the flu, corona or colds. So keep giving your system a helping hand. Especially if you fly or spend a lot of time in air-conditioned rooms.

Omega-3/6 in balance

The omega-3/omega-6 ratio in your body is also important. If this gets out of balance, your body becomes more susceptible to inflammation. On holiday, most of us tend to eat easier and fattier food, which is often rich in omega-6. So to compensate, it is important to (continue to) use omega-3. Omega-3 has anti-inflammatory properties.

Protection from the sun

Research with mice shows that when consumed daily, omega-3 fatty acids help to protect the skin from UV damage. EPA in particular strengthens the skin’s natural defence mechanism.
